We had a terrible-looking old drop ceiling in our basement living area. These white 3D tiles slid right into our existing grid and completely covered the old stained, sagging tiles. The embossed square design looks so much more expensive than plain ceiling tiles. The basement feels like a proper living room now.
Love the basement glow-up, Tammy!
The 3D square pattern is exactly as pictured crisp raised lines that catch the light beautifully. From below it looks like ornate plasterwork, not PVC. Guests genuinely think we had a contractor do a custom ceiling. The depth of the molding detail surprised me; it's not flat printing, it's real sculpted texture.
Our kitchen had a dark, dingy ceiling that made the whole room feel small. These white tiles bounced so much light around that the kitchen feels bigger and brighter without changing anything else. One box was exactly enough for our kitchen ceiling. Huge difference for a DIY project.
I was worried about cutting these around our recessed lights, but regular household scissors went right through the PVC. No power tools needed. The tiles are lightweight enough to position one-handed while standing on a ladder. Very beginner-friendly.
We put these in our bathroom ceiling and they've held up perfectly to steam and humidity. No warping, no discoloration, no mold. The smooth PVC surface wipes clean easily when there's any water spot. So much better than the old water-stained tiles we replaced.
Glad they're surviving the steam, Donna!
Our house has an older 2x2 drop ceiling grid and these fit perfectly with zero modifications. Just lifted out the old tile and dropped in the new one. Took about 20 minutes to swap the whole kitchen ceiling by myself. No need to hire anyone.
I wanted the look of a coffered ceiling but didn't want to pay for real wood or plaster. These PVC tiles give almost the same visual effect at a fraction of the cost. The layered square pattern reads as luxury when the room lights hit it. So happy with this purchase.
We weren't sure about pure white so we painted a few tiles to test. The surface takes latex paint really well after a light sand. You could easily match these to any wall color or trim. We kept them white but it's nice to have that option.
Didn't just use these on the ceiling we glued them to one wall in our dining room as a wainscoting accent. The 3D pattern looks incredible on a wall, especially with picture rail above. People think we hired a finish carpenter.
That wall treatment is inspired, Karen!
The tiles are beautiful and the finished ceiling looks great, but just be warned that lining up the embossed squares perfectly across the whole ceiling took some extra time. Measure your grid carefully before cutting. The result is worth it, but don't rush the layout.
Good advice, Frank. Layout first, cut second!
These are lightweight which makes installation easy, but they do feel a bit thin compared to mineral fiber tiles. That said, they've held up fine and don't sag. Just be gentle when handling so they don't flex too much. Overall still a great value.
