Basement transformation!

I was nervous about doing this myself as a total DIY beginner, but these tiles were so much easier than I expected! They just snap right into the existing drop ceiling grid. The slat design looks so much more modern than the old stained tiles we had. My basement finally looks like a real living space instead of a storage room. Highly recommend.

Thanks so much, Sarah! We love hearing that a first-timer could tackle this project. Enjoy your upgraded basement!

Great look, patience required for cutting

These look fantastic once installed! The slat texture adds so much depth to our living room ceiling. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that cutting them to fit around the AC vents took a bit more effort than I expected you really need a sharp utility knife and to score several times before snapping. But the end result was absolutely worth it.

Good tip on scoring multiple times, Jennifer! Glad you're happy with how it turned out.

Office makeover complete

We replaced our boring old office drop ceiling with these and it completely changed the vibe. No more plain white tiles! Clients always comment on how modern the space looks. They're waterproof too, which is a huge plus since we had a pipe leak last year that ruined everything.

Love to hear it, David. Your office must look sharp!

Covered up ugly water-damaged ceiling

Our kitchen ceiling had some old water damage from a leaky roof that we couldn't fully repair without redoing the whole ceiling. These tiles slipped right into the T-bar grid and covered everything perfectly. No painting, no messy drywall dust, no contractors. I just put them up and the problem was hidden instantly.

That's exactly what these are designed for, Amy! Glad they saved you a big renovation headache.

Slightly darker than pictured

Overall really happy with this purchase. The slat pattern looks great in our den and installation was straightforward. Just a heads up the black is a bit darker/more matte than what I saw in the product photos, but it actually worked out better with our dark gray walls. Still 4 stars because it was a little surprising at first, but I'd buy again.

Thanks for the honest feedback, Jessica! We appreciate you letting other shoppers know.

Way better than drywall

We priced out doing drywall in our basement and it was going to cost a small fortune in materials and labor. These tiles were a fraction of the price and the whole project took a weekend instead of weeks. The finish looks just as high-end as drywall, if not more, thanks to the slat texture.

Restaurant remodel customers love it

We put these up in our small family restaurant and the response from customers has been amazing. The modern slat design makes the space feel upscale without breaking our budget. They're also super easy to wipe clean if someone splatters something a must in a food service space.

So happy for your restaurant, Lisa! Wishing you guys lots of business.

Garage to home gym conversion

Turned our cold, dusty garage into a home gym this summer. These tiles are waterproof and so easy to wipe down no more dust collecting on ugly porous ceiling tiles. The black color hides a multitude of sins too. Way better than the unfinished look we had before.

Enjoy your new gym, Nancy! That's a great use of garage space.

Home theater upgrade!

Put these up in our home theater room and the dark color looks amazing with the LED strip lights we have behind the screen. They completely covered the old water-stained tiles from a roof leak we had a while back. Super lightweight I did the whole 12x14 room by myself in one Saturday afternoon.

That sounds awesome, Mike! Black slats + LED lighting is our favorite combo too.

Lightweight and surprisingly durable

I was worried these would feel flimsy or cheap since they're PVC, but they're actually pretty sturdy. Super lightweight though a single person can install a whole ceiling without needing a second set of hands. The material feels like it will hold up for years without sagging or yellowing.

Used them on a WALL as an accent

Didn't actually use these on the ceiling! I mounted them on an accent wall behind our TV and it looks incredible. The 3D slat design catches the light so beautifully during the day. People keep asking where I got them. Super easy to cut to size and mount with construction adhesive.

That's such a creative use, Tyler! We love seeing our products repurposed on walls.

Renter-friendly upgrade!

As a renter, I can't do permanent modifications to my apartment. These tiles fit right into the existing drop ceiling grid no nails, no adhesive, no changes to the landlord's property at all. I can even take them with me when I move. Total game changer for making a rental feel like home.

So happy these worked for your rental, Mark! That's one of our favorite things about drop-in tiles.

One damaged tile, but great customer service

The tiles themselves look amazing and were easy to install. One corner got crushed a bit during shipping I'm guessing the box got tossed around in transit. I reached out to customer service with a photo and they sent a replacement tile out quickly. Still 4 stars because the damage was a hassle, but the service made up for it.

Sorry about the shipping damage, Rachel! Glad we could make it right. Thanks for your patience.

Regular scissors actually work!

I was worried I'd need special cutting tools to trim these to fit, but regular household scissors worked just fine for all the straight cuts. They're thin enough to snip through easily. Saved me from having to buy a whole new utility knife or cutting tool. Great for DIYers on a budget.

Painted them to match our decor

We wanted a custom color scheme so we spray-painted these a charcoal gray and they turned out perfect. The PVC surface holds paint really well we used a plastic adhesion primer first and it looked professional. Now they look like custom slat panels that cost 10x as much.

Great tip about the primer, Kevin! Results sound amazing.

Took longer than expected, but worth it

The end result is beautiful, but I spent more time aligning the slats across adjacent tiles than I anticipated. Make sure you check the orientation as you go! Once I got the rhythm down it went faster. Just a tip for anyone installing lay out your grid before you start snapping tiles in.

Great layout tip, Eric! Alignment really does make all the difference.

Hid all the unsightly stuff

Our basement ceiling had exposed pipes, electrical wires, and ductwork that looked terrible. We added a simple grid and put these tiles up and it all vanished. You'd never know what's up there now. So clean and polished looking for such little effort.

That's the magic of a drop ceiling, Brenda! Glad it worked out.

Perfectly consistent color across all tiles

I ordered two boxes (12 tiles total) and every single one was the same deep, uniform black no mismatched tiles, no weird color variations, no cloudy patches. The quality control is clearly solid. I really appreciated that since mismatched ceiling tiles would've been painfully obvious.

Fits standard 15/16 inch grid perfectly

We have a standard old drop ceiling in our basement with 15/16 inch T-bars and these fit exactly as they should. No weird gaps, no forcing them in, no trimming needed for the main area just cut around the recessed lights and air vents. Great product for anyone with an old drop ceiling that needs a facelift.

Great value compared to big box stores

I priced similar slat ceiling tiles at my local home improvement store and they were almost double the price per square foot. These were way cheaper online and look just as good, if not better. Shipping was fast too arrived in 3 days and the packaging kept everything protected. Definitely worth ordering online.

Appreciate the comparison, Frank! Happy to save you some money.
