Black 2x2 tiles transformed our home theater

We installed the black 2x2 tiles in our home theater room and the difference is night and day. No more glare from the projector bouncing off a white ceiling. The matte black surface absorbs light exactly as we hoped. Acoustically they also cut down on echo. Perfect for a movie room.

Enjoy the movie room, Derek!

Basement rec room finally looks finished

Our basement had old water-stained ceiling tiles. Replaced them with the black 2x2 tiles and it looks like a modern lounge now. The 16-pack covered our small rec room with a few spares for the utility closet. Snapped right into the existing grid.

Sound deadening was a pleasant surprise

I bought these mainly for the black look, but the acoustic performance shocked me. Our second floor bedroom used to echo terribly. After installing the 2x4 black tiles the room feels padded and quiet. The mineral fiber does exactly what it claims.

Cut the basement echo down

Our basement was an echo chamber. Dropped these white mineral fiber tiles in and the room is noticeably quieter. The acoustic material actually absorbs sound, not just covers it. Classic speckled white, looks clean. Night and day.

Thanks! That sound-dampening is the whole point of mineral fiber. Enjoy the quiet.

Office studio setup with black ceiling

Redid my home office with black 2x4 tiles and a white grid. With the RGB LED strips and the orange accent wall behind my desk, the whole space looks like a professional content studio. Clients on video calls notice it immediately.

Love the studio vibe, Jordan!

Black bathroom ceiling is bold but works

Was nervous about a black ceiling in the bathroom, but with the warm wall color and black fixtures it actually looks intentional and modern. The tiles handled shower steam perfectly no sagging or discoloration after two months.

Replaced stained old tiles

Our old tiles were yellowed and stained. Swapped in these white mineral fiber ones and the whole room brightened. They drop right into the existing grid, no cutting the grid itself. Light to handle. Big improvement.

Glad the swap brightened the room. Easy drop-in is the best part.

Fire rated peace of mind over the kitchen

We installed these over our kitchen drop ceiling and the fire-rated mineral fiber was a big selling point. No more worrying about a grease flare-up reaching the ceiling.

Safety first, Sarah!

White tiles in the laundry room

Our laundry room ceiling was an eyesore. Put up white 2x4 tiles and it looks brand new. They handle the humidity from the dryer without any warping. The white brightens the room which makes doing laundry less of a chore.

Classic clean look

Went with the classic speckled white and it looks neat and timeless, not trendy. Tegular edge gives a little shadow line. Fits standard 15/16 grid. No fuss. Exactly what I wanted for the office.

Thanks! That classic white never goes out of style.

10 tiles = 80 sq ft, measure first

Good white tiles, just know a pack is 10 tiles covering 80 square feet. My room was bigger and I needed a second pack. Once I had enough, they install easily. Measure your ceiling up front and order a little extra.

Fair note, 10 tiles = 80 sq ft. Over-ordering saves a trip. Sorry for the second pack.

Fit right into our existing 2x4 grid

We had an old suspended ceiling from the 90s with cracked yellowed tiles. These 2x4 black tiles dropped straight into the existing grid channels. No trimming, no measuring. The whole garage gym ceiling took two hours.

Quieter conference room

Put these in our office conference room. Calls used to echo badly; now the room sounds much clearer. White looks professional. Tegular edge finishes cleanly. Acoustic tile actually does what it says.

Glad the calls sound clearer now. That is exactly the acoustic benefit.

Handle gently, they are brittle

Nice tiles, but mineral fiber is more fragile than PVC. Snap one corner and it chips. Take them out of the box gently and do not drop them. Once installed they look and sound great. Just handle with care.

Good tip, mineral fiber chips easily. Glad they look great once installed.

White 2x2 tiles brightened our clinic

We used the white 2x2 tiles in our small clinic waiting area. They look clean and professional, and the matte finish doesn't glare under the fluorescent fixtures. Easy to wipe clean when needed. The 16-pack covered the whole room.

Fits standard grid perfectly

Worried about fit, but these 2x4 tiles match my existing standard 15/16 inch grid exactly. The angled tegular edge seats cleanly. No trimming the long edges. Drop in and go. Saved me a re-grid.

Exactly, standard fit. Glad they dropped right in.

White 2x4 tiles in the office hallway

Replaced old stained tiles in our office hallway with these white 2x4 tiles. Bright, uniform, and the surface wipes clean. They sit flush in the grid and look like a brand new ceiling. Maintenance crew approves.

Holds up in a damp basement

Had issues with old tiles sagging in the damp basement. These moisture-resistant mineral fiber tiles have stayed flat, no sag, no staining after a humid season. Acoustics help too. Peace of mind.

Great to hear they held up in the damp. That is what moisture-resistance is for.

Bathroom white tiles look sanitary

Our bathroom had a dated popcorn ceiling that we covered with a drop ceiling using these white 2x2 tiles. It instantly looks clean and sterile. The mineral fiber doesn't absorb moisture no mold issues after a summer of hot showers.

Compared black vs white went black for the bar

We built a home bar and debated between black and white. Went with black 2x4 tiles and it looks like a real cocktail lounge. The white tiles would've been too bright for the moody vibe we wanted. Quality is excellent either way.

Heavier than expected but that's a good thing

These tiles have real weight to them the 0.6-inch mineral fiber core feels dense and solid. They don't sag or flex. The 2x4 size means fewer seams to deal with. Just be careful handling them, they're not lightweight foam.

Dense quality, Tracy!

One tile arrived with a cracked corner

Packaging was good overall, but one of the 2x2 tiles had a cracked corner from shipping. We trimmed it for a cut-in piece by the wall so it didn't go to waste. Rest of the order was perfect. Just inspect on delivery.

Sorry about the cracked corner, Mike!

Need to buy extra for pattern matching

The black tiles have a subtle fiber texture that varies slightly piece to piece. On a large ceiling some tiles look a touch darker than others in direct light. Buy an extra pack for spares and shuffle them around during install.

Good tip, Angela!

Studio music room ceiling

Installed black 2x2 tiles in my home music studio. The acoustic absorption makes vocals and guitar recordings sound cleaner. The black finish means no light reflections messing with my monitor calibration. Worth every penny.

Great value per square foot

Priced out architectural ceiling tiles at a building supply store and these were half the cost. The black 2x4 tiles look and perform the same. 80 square feet per box for the price you can't beat it. Ordered two more boxes for the garage.

Great value, Jessica!
